Where are we?

This week, like last week we are back on the Gold Coast of Australia.  However it has been a jampacked week in the meantime.

Last Tuesday we flew out of Australia and made our way across the Pacific to LA.  We spent last weekend with Armand Morin at his Persuasion X Speaker Training which was great.  We met some awesome people at the event too.  It never ceases to amaze me how most of the value of attending an event is in the networks and connections you make while you’re there.

As soon as the event was finished we jumped back on the plane to the Gold Coast.  Despite the hoopla we managed to avoid contracting swine flu (which I’m sure my Gran is very pleased about!) 

And our trip from LA was on the new A380 which was a bit of fun!

And now here we are at Darren Stephen’s workshop “How to Write a Bestseller” on the Gold Coast.  19 new authors will be launching their books tonight at a special reception at the top of the Q1 building.  I’m going to be interviewing all the authors today and I’m very excited about it.

Boy what a week!  Lots of travel, a couple of dark circles under my eyes- but I’m one very happy camper thoroughly enjoying everything we’re up to!

"How to Build Your Credibility and Celebrity as a Speaker"

This week I want to share with you something that will increase your level of attraction, increase the amount of opportunities you get as a speaker and really take your entire speaking business to the next level.

There are two tanks that you need to be continually filling as a speaker. These are:

1) Your Credibility

It is important that:

1. You have a track record of success
2. You have proof that what you say is true
3. You are perceived as the expert in your niche
   

2) Your Celebrity

It is important that:

1. People know who you are
2. They care about you, your personality and that they are enjoying you

How can you build your credibility and celebrity real quick? The answer is to have your own book published.

A book helps you to:

1. Become positioned as the expert in your field
2. Build your celebrity fast

I'd like to introduce you to a good friend of mine - Darren Stephens.
