Only 9 days to go til our 3 day event in Melbourne and we're getting very excited!  

Last weekend Greg and I visited Rick and Jo Harrison, and Lisa and Steve Cole- our Million Dollar Masterclass members and caught up with them at their homes.  There's nothing quite like visiting someone at home to get a sense of who they are and how life works on a day to day basis.  

I tell you- being at the Coles gave me a new found respect for my own mother.  You see I am one of three girls and Lisa has 4!  Seeing the dynamics there, it was so clear to me that she is indeed a "SuperMum".  And I reflected on what an amazing job my own Mum did.  

So, spare a thought for your Mum today-  I think Mum's are a special breed.  I hope I am even half as competent and loving as Lisa and my Mum when I have kids!

Project Planning Your Seminar

Have you ever wondered what happens during the planning of a seminar?

Go Behind the Scenes to see myself and Kerry Yean (our event manager) project planning last year's 3 day workshop, and follow the steps we took.

1. Get a pack of post-it notes, and with at least 1 other person from your team, brainstorm every possible thing you need to think about before launching your seminar.
2. Write each thing on a separate note and stick it to a big piece of cardboard, or a window. eg. order forms, filming, audio, crew, customer service etc - pour out all the big chunks and the little chunks and write each on a separate note.
3. Rearrange all the post-its in the order and sequence needed for the seminar, grouping all the little chunk pieces under the larger chunks - so it all makes sense.
4. Place the big picture categories at the top of each group eg. joint venture partners, date, venue, marketing, products to sell etc. Each of the smaller pieces needed to complete the larger piece will be grouped underneath each category.
5. Set dates and deadlines for when each piece should be completed, and assign or delegate each task.
6. Transfer everything to a table or spreadsheet, for ease of use and there you have it - a fully laid out Project Plan for your Seminar!

This might sound like a complicated process, however it is really very simple. You will be amazed at how quickly it will come together, it usually takes me less than an hour, and can be done at your favourite cafe.
