Hello and welcome to the first edition of our new weekly newsletter.  I am very excited to be launching this,I have to tell you.  Many of our clients email in from time to time asking what we’re up to, or with a particular question about speaking... so in response to your suggestions- we created “Behind the Scenes”.

My vision for this newsletter is to give you some regular tips to help you in your speaking business and keep you up to date with my adventures around the world.  It will come out every Wednesday- so keep an eye in your inbox for this content packed little puppy!

I am also very excited that Greg and I are about to leave the cold weather here in London and travel home to Australia for a couple of months. It won’t be a holiday though (even though we are looking forward to thawing out in the warm weather over there), we will be embarking on a speaking tour around Australia. More about that later.

Do you have an Elegant Business Model?

One of the biggest mistakes I see with many speakers is that they set out to create a speaking business, thinking all they have to do is get out there and speak!

The thing is, if you are just getting paid for your speech – even if it is a tidy sum, you are only ever going to be a highly paid labourer.

There are only so many days in a year that you can do your presentation – you still need days to run your business, travel and live your life.

So what I am always telling my clients who want to grow their revenue, or increase the impact their business has in the world – is to put an elegant business model behind their presentation

This is covered in many areas of the Secrets of Selling from stage Mentoring Program. What you have to realise is that your speech that you deliver is only the front end to your business.

Ask yourself, what are you doing afterwards to invite people to do business with you again? What products, and what services are you making available if people want to find out more from you?
