1. Is it different selling to audiences in the USA, UK and Australia?

Yes, in some regards.  But basically it comes down to step one.  You need to connect with your audience irrespective of where they come from. This means respecting local attitudes and watching your vocabulary a little.

2. Do you write sales scripts for people?

No we don’t. Instead we teach you everything you need to write your own presentation using your words during the program. And we can review what you’ve done and make suggestions for improvement.

3. How did you learn to sell from the stage so effectively?

From a variety of different sources, the most profound of which was modeling the experts.  My background in acting and directing for theatre has allowed me mastery in creating emotional states in people.  Other people I have learnt from, that I recommend checking out, are platform sellers like Chris Howard, T. Harv Ecker, Tony Robbins, Mal Emery, Joel Bauer, Roger Hamilton and anyone else you can see.

4.How do you get people in a room to sell to in the first place?

This is a long discussion and something we go into in a huge amount of detail in the mentoring program.  For the most past, the best way is through affiliate marketing.  Find out who already has a list of people who may be your clients and see if they can market your presentation to their database. Alternatively find out if anyone is already doing a seminar that you can speak at.

5. How do I get gigs on stage at the “Big Seminars”?

This is covered in more detail in the mentoring program, but the thing to realize is that no promoter will put you on stage without confidence that you will sell well.   You may be lucky enough to get on stage unproven if you have an extraordinary story, but this rarely happens.  One strategy you may consider using is to “buy access”.  By that I mean ask yourself who’s hosting a Big Gig you’d like to speak at, and then join their high level coaching program.  Let them know that you’d like to speak on their stage in 12 months and ask them what it is you would have to do to make that happen.  If you are a student of theirs, they will have a vested interest in seeing you succeed.

6. How do I overcome my fears of public speaking or fear of selling?

The quickest way I know how is to find a great “release process” and then use it to identify and eliminate the sub-conscious cause of that fear.  Teachers like Paul Blackburn and Chris Howard deal with this problem very well in my eyes.  That said, one of our lessons is called the Magic Confidence Pill. We deal with these issues, and, during an audio program, lead you through a complete process to identify the cause of, and then get over the fears.

7. How do I run my own seminar?

While the scope of this question is huge, my first suggestion is to think very carefully about why you want to go down this path.  If you do, join the mentoring program and we’ll discuss it in one of your Power Calls (see below for more info).

8. How do you stay healthy and sane while travelling the world and speaking so much?

With attention and discipline!  There were times recently that I would get off a 24 hour flight at 3pm and be on stage at 9am the next morning to present 3 full, 14 hour long days!  Jetlag, dehydration, and long days speaking on a different continent can quickly wear you down.  It is vital to establish a routine for managing your energy.  For me that incorporated good quality food (lots of steamed veges and mashed potato!), as much sleep as possible, lots of water, warm drinks, steam for my vocal cords, a good voice warm up and an awesome team and good friends on the road.  I would also exercise regularly, get to the spa between seminars and do Qi Gong or Yoga to keep focused and energetic.  I’ll tell you all about how to handle the stress of wild success in the Mentoring Program.

9. Are there any “Mistakes to Avoid” when working with promoters?

Absolutely.  There are many, but the main one is don’t become a diva or rock star moron. Don’t be a demanding, annoying speaker with a huge ego.  Instead, always look to support your promoter, help them out and create ongoing relationships.  Think of a promoter as your best client and treat them accordingly.

Questions Regarding Mentoring Program

10. How long does the mentoring program run for?

You can stay a member of the mentoring program for as long as you like. You will receive a lesson every week, and if you feel they are no longer useful, you can cancel your membership just by logging in your member profile.

11. Can I get access to some of the later lessons as I want to fast-track the process?

Yes, you can certainly arrange to get more than one lesson per week if you’re a fast learner! Just email us and we can fast-track you.

12. Can I access previous lessons regardless of when I join?

When you join our mentoring program, you start at the beginning and receive a new email every week, which will provide you with access to the next lesson. You always have access to them while you’re a member of the program, so you can view them as many times as you want to.

13. Do you have a non-compete/confidentiality policy regarding information that I share with you?

Rest assured we don't want to be caught in a "conflict of interest" with any of the members. We know that it's important that you feel comfortable sharing the details of your projects with us. Most of our members do, but there are some who prefer to discuss things in more general terms - it's entirely up to you.

Perhaps to reassure you – it might help you to know that I’m a fully trained medical doctor so I’m used to keeping patient information confidential!

You may find that after working with us for a while you will begin to feel more comfortable sharing more details. Please be guided by your own feelings - we won't be offended if you choose to keep things to yourself.

14. Please explain more about how the program works.

We took a lot of time to plan it so that the system would be extremely easy for people to follow. The lessons are structured in an easy to follow step by step logical sequence.  We definitely did not want to be one of those websites that says "here is lots of information – now figure out what to do with it yourself”!

If you join the mentoring program and consistently apply the information in the lessons as they arrive each week, you should have your first money-making presentation ready to go in about 8-10 weeks. These days I can write a sales presentation in a few short hours.

After we have covered the basics in the first 8-10 weeks the lessons will start to help you fine-tune your presentation to improve sales. Next we move onto advanced topics such as sourcing or creating products, structuring back end sales, joint ventures, how to get help without hiring, and how to get gigs etc.

The following is a sample list of topics which are covered in the lessons.

  1. What makes a good topic for a presentation
  2. How to create a compelling offer
  3. How to package your product or service
  4. How to determine your price point
  5. Creating a risk-reversing guarantee
  6. Choosing your unique presentation style
  7. How to make your presentation entertaining
  8. How to structure the presentation
  9. Using testimonials to increase sales
  10. Creating urgency
  11. How to establish an undeniable need for your product
  12. How to create tension in your audience
  13. Crafting a compelling invitation for immediate action
  14. Letting your emotions out
  15. The biggest Powerpoint mistakes you must avoid
  16. What to do before the gig
  17. What to do after the gig to make sure your sales stick
  18. Getting help without hiring
  19. Staying healthy and sane while you succeed
  20. The Magic Confidence Pill: Uncovering & letting go of emotional blockages

Unfortunately, I don't have time to follow up everyone by phone. However, all members are entitled to Power Calls during which we can discuss anything you like.
